A friend sent me a copy of It’s a Book by Lane Smith with a cute note about how he thinks I’d appreciate it……it’s clever and well executed, etc.

He ended by saying that for the good of us all, he hopes I’ll like It’s a Book.
You know what? I love it (and not just for the good of us all). It makes me smile every time I read it, and seems most appropriate to post about now, having just hung up from a conference call with Charlotte Abbott and Peter Meyers where we discussed the topics for our Enhanced Ebook Webinar next week.
Phone call: ”What’s the difference between an enhanced ebook and an app?”
CUTE LITTLE BOOK IN FRONT OF ME:
“How do you scroll down?”
“I don’t. I turn the page. It’s a book.”

Phone call: “What kind of book features work best?”
ADORABLE LITTLE BOOK ON MY LAP:
“Do you blog with it?”
“No, it’s a book.”

You get the point…….If you’re connected to publishing, in any way, and you need a smile (and one that keeps on giving with every read), you must get a copy.
