I don’t know exactly what all of this new Facebook news means yet (and I have been trying — so I have to believe if I can’t get it, I am in very big company). It sure doesn’t feel like good news for anyone other than Facebook though.
Didn’t we already let them know that we don’t want to have to Opt Out of privacy settings? How did we end up back here again?
I just went through and Opted Out of everything (again), not fully understanding what I was Opting Out of, but preferring to be on the safe side rather than have them assume it’s ok to share my info with everyone and track my whereabouts on the web. Feels very presumptuous, and borderline violating, on their part.
And as I was going through this Opt Out process, they even had the nerve to come make SURE I wanted to Opt Out. Wondering how come this isn’t the other way around…..
